snider actually had the original concept for the chippendale's male dancers, as well as having recognized some of dorothy stratten's potential. in retrospect, he actually seemed to have had an eye for what would sell, but his severe character flaws prevented him from achieving the kind of success he must have envisioned for himself, which ultimately lead to the gruesome tragedy.
