| Don't people grasp the concept that whatever we do in this life, we are accountable for and will have to balance whatever wrong we've done? Tragedies, like the young Canadian model, Dorothy Stratton, are dismissed to a "Sick Mind" that is not entirely to blame. Well, the truth of the matter is that any person who grows from childhood to become a twisted and crazed mind is to blame. All of us make choices day-to-day and are responsible for the outcome of each and every decision we make.
Karma means accountability for whatever we think, say, feel, do, fantasize, and so forth. Karma also means what Dickens called, "The weight of chain forged in life" and we create more cause and effect in both directions; favorable and otherwise. Gravity is cause and effect and we, as people living together and affecting one another consistently, need to remember that the gravity of our acts must be paid, even more-so as we amass negative ones along the way.
Killing, acting out rage on the road, hostility vented on another, and even thinking ill of someone else carries a massive weight of debt. It is better to learn ways of controlling our mind rather than letting it run off in all directions like Steven Leacock's Sir Duggam Buggam. |
