Mr. Commons is going to be a strong favorite, possibly odds on. He's obviously very capable, but I'm going to be against him today. I love the #8 Mobilized (8-1 ML) whose coming off two very sharp performances. Two back he closed from dead last coming down the hill at Santa Anita. The rail was out 30 feet and the pace was only moderate. Showed a great turn of foot down the lane while only getting clear in the final strides to get up. He parlayed that win into a 7 1/2 length romp in the statebred Tiznow stakes on the California Gold Rush card. He faced a salty group of Cal breds including Grade 1 winner M One Rifle. He's never been a fast work horse, but his last move was a bullet :59 3/5 showing just how sharp he is. Love the comments from his trainer as well:

One horse not likely to run in the Californian is Tiznow winner Mobilized. Trainer Gary Mandella said Tuesday the 6-year-old is training so well he does not want to wait until June 2. Hes doing so good, Im going to go ahead and run him Saturday in the American.
I think the horse is in career form and sitting on another big effort.
