New Contest - The MacMatch Play Challenge

The first 32 players that indicate their interest in a 6 week free match play tournament beginning around Labour Day (or Labor Day for y'all) will have a spot in the 1st MacMatch Play Challenge.

Contest will be $2 WP (no cap) on 8 races of my choosing at a single venue (i.e. races 3-10 at Belmont).

Small Mac and I will not play.

Entries are to be submitted to me via email (not on UIC) prior to the first contest race. I will post the picks once I have received all so everyone can follow along.

I envision a 32 man (or woman) draw with everyone paired up for week one...winners remain in the main event...losers drop to the B event. 16 winners...16 losers.

Second Week main event winners (8 of them)remain in the main event...main event losers (8 of them) drop to the C event....B event winners (8 of them)stay in the B event...B event losers (8 of those sorry souls) drop to the D event...

After week 2 you lose and you are out....no soup for you!

After 6 weeks (Mid October) we will have a champion and runner up in each of the 4 events.

I will put up $80 (Canadian)(split $60 to first place & $20 to second place) bet of your choice towards prizes for the main event. Anyone else willing to sponsor the B,C & D events? ($60, $40, $20 has a nice ring)

Small Mac and I reserve the right to tweak the rules as needed and we will be the ultimate arbitrators in the unfortunate event of a dispute.
