7th race at Del Mar is going to have an overwhelming favorite in Smart and Single (7/5 ML, which means he'll be 1/2). He ran well in his debut winning and receiving an 95 BSF. In that race he never changed leads and won going away. There's obviously talent there, and the pedigree is pretty solid being by Smart Strike out of Leave Me Alone (G1 winner). All that said, I think she's going down today. Doug O'Neill brings back Dancingtothestars who won on the second day of the meeting impressively. After breaking her maiden at HOllywood she stepped right up and won a first level cal bred allowance. Today she steps up against open company here (so she's running for a 90k+ purse). O'Neill's barn couldn't be any sharper. Talamo gets the return call and I think there's a strong chance she drifts above her 3-1 ML.
