It's Saratoga time baby!! All bets are off if the track and turf is off. Hopefully, this won't be a wasted effort. Here goes:
Race 1: Tough turfer (Alw 5000s) where identifying the class, in this case horses running at highest claiming level against older, is the first step. Contenders are Dancing Tin Man, The Shaugram, and longshot, Romp.
Race 2: Will watch the board for any unsuspecting or well played types but I like either part of the entry Pious David and/or Zensational, Gone Astray, and Prince Teton.
Race 3: Will take a stand with Connecticut Yankee as he figures to improve significantly and key him with Golden Age and Acredit.
Race 4: This would probably be a more interesting race off the turf. Final picks may be determined by value but for now I'll lean towards Cops Fever, Fra Lippo, and Bunrnished Copper.
Race 5: Again will check the board but I like Storm Hope the most off his last workout. Storm Hope will be an even greater threat on a wet/off track.
Race 6: Jazz Nation and Bedford Arch stand out.
Race 7: North Country will be my key play with a bunch of others still undetermined, pending the scratches.
Race 8: Pick your chalk, Redefined, Mojegan Sky or Ahvee's destiny?
Race 9: Collegiate looks unbeatable with only Mine All Mine having a remote chance for the upset, made greater by an off track.
Race 10: Always respect the drop down claimers off small layoffs at the spa. Spooky Mulder and Acclimate are the only ones to beat.
