Stand for a moment... listen.
This is perfect beauty... watch.

There is nothing more beautiful
than a day at the race track.
The quiet wonder between races.
The searching and finding. The contest, of course.
There is more, however... much more than any wager.
There is perfection and serenity.
Triumphs. Bad beats. Close calls.
Dumb bets. Good bets. No bets... and ever the struggle
of moments and decision and always a chance to be right
or wrong... the possibility of greatness and glory,
this race or the next and if not today...
we'll get'em tomorrow.
Days at the race track are treasures
to be discovered and kept forever.

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO APPRECIATION
FOR THIS ANTIC/STUNT/TACTIC BY THIS GROUP!

While I support the right to protest,
I do not believe this NOISE at my track
is the appropriate way to effect the change
this group is seeking. For goodness sake...
folks at the track were looking up and saying:
"Takeout, what's that?" - "Lower the price of Takeout, I guess."
"Something about Chinese Food, I think." - "No, it's an ad for In~N~Out."

Here's the thing...
if I wanted to listen to ENGINE NOISE I'd be a NASCAR FAN!

Either play Santa Anita,
or do not play Santa Anita.
It is entirely your right to choose.

Either way...
please stop buzzing my race track!

Good stuff, Dell

I agree 100%!

What tasteless, classless, inconsideration.

So many people, completely unaware of the gamblers who are so upset, being subjected to this pollution. Casual fans. People on their day off, with their kids, spending their hard earned money only to have to hear this s### all day.

I'm certain the citizens of Arcadia weren't too happy either.

Whatever empathy I felt before is now gone. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

A ZERO class move that will hopefully backfire. They should be ashamed of themselves.

That last horse...

January 19 2011, 3:24 PM

...is the only horse to finish first AND last in a race.

BY THE WAY and FOR THE RECORD - I agree with the boycott idea. The powers-that-be in SoCal are the most arrogant, ignorant people in racing. And their consistant failures are evidence to that effect.

Every study known to man on 'takeout' has proven that handle increases with a LOWER takeout and churn. Yet these idiots are looking for a fix TODAY and missing (as always) the big picture.

HOWEVER - this idea to fly a plane around he track was completely ill-advised. HANA needs to get their message across to the people who bet large sums of money and the people who make the rules.

Flying that plane made them come across like a joke. All they accomplished was to irritate people in such a way that had NOTHING to do with their cause.

That money should have gone somewhere else.
