Well back to the drawing board for plan B.Sandy got mugged by the # 2 horse on the rail and another horse beside him on his left but made a good recovery from Jackie Davis.took a little out of him but gave a good run along the rail on the turn. Can't take anything from the winner. We will try 1 mile and 3/8 if they write a race most races are 1-1/16 Sandy seem's to keep going after the race and has to be pulled up by the outrider I guess 1-2-mile jog's is to his likeing...till next time===HIT EM BIG.
I went to the barn at belmont today sandy is in good shape.gave him some carrots scoffed them up like nobody's business. He told me he will try his best on Sat.and that I should bet $100.00 across the board.and get a $3.00 ex with all up and down..He is afraid of three horses but will tell me in a few day's when he talk's to his friend's in the next stall.till then HIT THEM BIG
Answer to blinkers question.is yes at least 4-5th to the leader. He has a good closing kick at the 3/8 pole and we think that will suit him with blinkers.also he likes to play with other horses and does not look stright ahead.he does this at the farm.We will see if this helps.thanks.HIT EM BIG.
Robbie and Jackie Davis front, Richard Migliore left rear; Mig was the first one down there with Robbie, they were like two kids that found the toy store unlocked.
First I want to thank Robbie Davis who had faith in my horse. And with all his patience that he took in developing this horse. He does not give up even when sandy tryed to throw him a few times.I think the blinkers made a big difference in his race and his position running the race.He came back and ate all his feed and drank 1 bucket of water.he will get a few weeks rest and we will move forward to the next stage.I can't tell you the feeling I got when I saw him make his move splitting horses at the finish.Much thank's to Jackie for riding such a good race even she cried when it was over.We all shed a tear or two.Hope you all made a few buck's I know I did......Till next time. hit em big..
