tried to fix the link, or make the picture clickable in your message Dell but it didn't like me trying to do anything with your picture and no idea why the link won't click. If you want to see how to make a picture a link that you can click just edit mine and look at it. Instead of words you stick in the img tag
so without the opening/closing
img src="location of picture" (quotes needed) is put where you'd put the clickable word description of the link inside the anchor tags which tells it where to go.
A 4th keeps you alive from what Ina says and which I just confirmed. She loves the Monmouth one ... complete novice, still surviving since she first started playing last year. Not knowing Remington I might have to use a bit more of her strategy.
Hanging in there, tied with some BadActor fellow ........ and JB, no shoe????? Ina lost hers too when my Balm came back to get 4th (somehow) in the 1st leg yesterday.
349 out after 3, over 10% though I'd guess we had quite a few that sign up, forget in the beginning. Hell the leader is shoeless so maybe tougher than I thought. Every day I lost a preserver at MON or got bumped, I had at least one finish in the 4 hole so here's hoping.
Took what looked like the obvious choices on day4.
Zig- I am in contest overload right now and sheepishly admit that I really don't know much about Remington anymore. I only watch when a friend has a runner or if it is part of another contest. Good luck guys (and gals) and keep it going!

I recognize a few names (Phil Teator, Asmussen had a runner today), know little of the track myself ...... contemplated using darts on the last leg today
Scratched to that winner too with Okie out, caught the last one too. Heck the leader of a day ago, gone. Nice prices dude, but survival comes first here. Unlike Monmouth, where when you miss after losing the preservers you still have your bankroll hang around, here you're gone. Even with a free pass 20% are gone after 3 events.
I need a hit in the first two tonight ...... god is the 9th ugly (Roan Doc)
I'm hanging in there, mostly picking show horses. I've only had one winner. Trying to pick better price horses and avoiding "sure thing" types, which many may choose as a comfort zone, and then go stabbing in the other two. My strategy has been to go longer in the "gimmee" race, and try to survive in the others.
My dollar total is right under $50, so I have some work to do here. BUt, all it will take is a couple 30-1 shots, and I could move up significantly.
Good luck to all still in this one.
I enjoy these types of contests, but I wish they's change it to just one race a day.
Might make it more interesting.
We must be similar handicappers. I played the exact same horses, I think!
Pacar was a no-brainer; even though I said I'd stay away from plays like that, I couldn't see how he couldn't at least hit the board, unless something went badly wrong.
I agree with Pacar and Jewelryhiester closed to finish 4th at 12.50-1. Two noses from 2nd and about a length from the win. On to Thursday. Good luck going forward.
Took the even money shot the other day and went fishing elsewhere ..... caught a big boot, so I'm booted.
ziggy
PS having memory issues ....... network54 using an old password with broadbrush and I had it entered automatically. Plus I think I canned that email address so until I fish out the old password I'll be PerfectDrift

Still in also, but not setting the world on fire. Last night's downpour screwed things up foe me, as I had a couple horses that I thought might pop from off the pace, and they were cooked obviously. Got lucky in the last race to stay in there with a 10-1 shot who came in 2nd.
Need a price horse to move up some.
Tonight going with
Race 4 Oui Oui Ann
Race 5 Tricky Expectations
Race 8 Mermaiden (my bomber of the day)
Good luck to all UICers still clinging to the flimsy handicapping life raft.
I'm still in, no big deal, 53% of the players are still left.
Actually had a winner last night. Only paid $10.60, meaning I'm about to pop the $100 mark.
I have a LONG way to go to make any noise in this one.
My strategy from here forward will be to play longshots in the cheaper claiming races, and more logical second-or-third tier types in the Alw. races, if there are any.
Twice now I've talked myself out of longshots that won, because of the futility of the connections. One I liked if I remember somewhat correctly the jock's line looked something like this : 23-0-0-0 and the trainer's: 16-0-1-0....not exactly right but close.
So I changed my pick to a slightly more logical semi-longshot, and, well, Paul Harvey can chime in now. So from now on I am not giving any thought to the connections. If I like the horse, I'm picking it, I don't care if the jock is 1 for 52.
How's everyone else doing?
Going LONG Wednesday.
Also, the gal or guy forming the ML doesn't seem to have a good feel for things. These horses are all over the place with their odds.
Mixing up my pitches in this contest.
Playing the jockey "Angel" angle on Wednesday.
What are the chances JOSE ANGEL MEDINA (9%) has a great day?
We'll see... GOOD LUCK! ~ Bad-$106.10-actor w/a lucky horseshoe.
I'm still standing with $129.80 and my choo. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Only Breckenridge hit the board last night as Oui Oui was a no no. No strategy here. Just makin' picks, crossin' fingers and hoping to cash.
I lost my horseshoe last night, and the first contest race, I played what I thought was a "lock" to hit the board, #9, Hurricane Day. He ran 4th, and now I have a 15-1 in race 8 (Aint No More Blues), and a 8-1 in the finale (Thezimman).
Starting to sweat this one a bit..................
Not to worry... 4th is good.
I think it's good.
I mean, I hope it's good.
HD was my pick, too...
it's got to be good.
If it isn't good,
I'm blaming you.
I was thinking the same thing...is 4th good or not good?
I think if you still have your lucky shoe and you squeak by with a 4th, you're OK.
And if you don't have the shoe and just get a 4th...you get the boot.
I hope I'm wrong.
Dell, you have a 9-1 going here and I have a 45-1. Yikes!!
DOUBLE EDIT: Good Morning from California!
Here are my selections for Sept. 19th.

when 'i' went to do the selection for sunday it was not up so then 'i' tried again later and still was not up so 'i' forgot to go back latter and lost my safty check. but still in..lol..
Good luck guys!
So far I'm 0/1.
My niece's name is Isabella, and I had a brief thought to just play the name, but the handicapper in me would not allow it!
I really struggled with these races tonight. May be my last day.
Have OAKIE FLASH going here. Not a lot of support at the windows, as I write, 12-1.
My picks, subject to change (as always)
Race 7 : Viva Blalock (not very creative, I know) Although there's 5 coming out of that last race, unsure how this one will play out. Maybe none of the 5 are contenders here???? #9 She'llkisstheboys may try to go gate to wire. I'm waffling on this one, as usual
Race 8 : Freeze Your Kela, with a slight nod to Dell's horse who may steal it on the front end
Race 9 : going long with Mocha Mist
Good luck Mr. Yount.
Your horse has a good a shot as any of these. I like the cutback from 1m to 6f.
I don't like the horse's record for futility 19-0-1-2. But he doesn't have to win, right?
GOOD LUCK. I'll be rooting for you to stay in this thing.
Scott
(Mr Wright and I will be watching the race with scotch and cigars.......)
Doesn't look good for triguy....0/2 with 1 race to go.
Got off the winner in the 5th race, when I changed my pick to Yukon Run, who got boxed in despite being full of run, and had nowhere to go, had to swing way outside and lost all chance. My fault for changing my pick.
How many times will I continue to do this!!!?????
I have Tickleyourfancy going in the 8th, 10-1 ML.
Not feeling it tonight; didn't like my chances when I couldn't make heads or tails out of the PPs.
I'm done.
Done in by a combination of my bad attitude when I first saw the PPs, and then by bad luck with traffic in one race, and the final race, when it went off the turf, I knew I was through. I wouldn't have picked my horse on dirt.
Oh well.
It's a miracle I lasted this long (19 days) in general and the last 4 days without a choo. I was off the board in races 5 (Gunsmoke N) and 6 (Caiman) but won race 8 with Miss Hockaday collecting $32.60. With my luck I will bomb out simultaneously with Santa Anita.
Good luck going forwardf.
Just please don't "pull a Scott" and change your mind on your picks.
Go with your absolute first instinct.
If I would have done that, I'd still be in this thing.
My foot has so many bullet holes in it.........
