Maybe i'm crazy, but
Unless the racing gods are toying with me, i think i've found the
Surprize package of the breeders cup...
Today could be a big day for badactor
And i wanted to share this monster price play with ya'll. lol.
Now, if artie wins the mile (which would bode well for my classic longshot),
Forget the chalk
And double up on the runner who was born on my birthday.
Right or wrong, i'll be playing him to win it all, at l o n g - l o n g odds!
Dell,
Not that you need a confidence boost in this play but for what it's worth, Dan M. e-mailed me the summary of the Hall numbers from the Allways software he uses just before he boarded his flight to DFW yesterday morning. Artie is the standout play of the card based on these numbers. I'll probably make him my 5th in pick 3's etc. but I still like Singletary to run huge. Good luck, my friend.
Larry,
I love your Singletary pick! Excellent write-up on the entire BC card.
Thank you for keeping me on your subscribers list! Great luck to you today... and always!
Bwana Charlie just missing the show spot really is painful. A 1/2 length away from a very nice score. This is the closest I was of many races where I was VERY close...just could never seal the deal today.
Thanks for your comments on the Singletary selection Dell, both pre-race and in your post race phone message. I had 6 of the 8 winners in my analysis but due to the spacing of the 2 losing races, I only catch 1 pick 3 with my wheels. The Juvy tri-box was nice and it took some guts to not use Roman Ruler while giving Wilko a legitimate shot so there is some consolation there but I still feel that things could have gone somewhat better i.e. 1st, 2nd and 4th in the F&M Turf trifecta as well as in the Classic trifecta. It's always a fun day but it can be frustrating too!

You and me both Mark. I came to a harsh realization today. I have talent as a prognosticator. What I don't have is a large bankroll, which made me not competitive on this BC day. The most I've EVER bet on a horse race is $250 and that was when I KNEW my horse was gonna win. That being said, when I play the BC races I must be spot on to cash, unless I want to spend my entire roll on one or two races.
I also had 1-2-4 in the sprint. But easily the worst loss of the day was in the mile. When I was making my tri bet, I told my friend, "I wish I could afford to double key in this race." You see I had the top three finishers, but my key Whipper missed the board. I also wanted to key last year's winner Six Perfections, but that would've been another 36 bucks that I wanted to keep for later races. I had the horses. I didn't have the bankroll to hit it. There's a million ways to lose.
