Once again Dell, your capacity for being generous exceeds all expectations. What a great gesture and I suspect there will be no shortage of sponsors anxious to help out such a worthy cause. The "finest horse chat site on the web" just keeps getting better and better!

Just a thought, but maybe a change on that wagering strategy. I think each team would be good enough to find that likely key winner. With a keying strategy, they'd get 5 horses in the next two slots, at a $20 cost, keying A over BCDEF (5 x 4). Use the other $4 as a bomb winner play/saver or a 3 horse tri box to up the total to $26 or let each individual member pick a $1 straight tri on top of their key.
Just seems a team or two would be likely to catch that winner, so why not give them more "ammo" for those wild and crazy third place finishers, also known as "da bomb".
This is another fun and worthwhile endvour that we have on this board. I will look forward to sponsoring a race later.
Ziggy, I agree with you that there is a better chance for a bomb on the bottom. There are so many ways to play these tri's.
Dell,I think each sponsor with their own 4 player team may be better served to structure their $24 minimum bet as they see fit based on their actual race and or preference.
I have mentioned before that I prefer a $27 tri ABC/ABCD/ABCDE where you still have the more likely horses to win on top and filter down the 4th and 5th choices. I prefer this because I have 3 chances to get the winner and if I do, I still have 3 choices alive for 2nd, and if that comes in it will leave me with 3 chances for 3rd.
Well I agree with Fairly Certain ..... let the teams decide how to structure the bets. Some races might be best served by a 4 horse box, others a key, others going FC's way,
Don't know if they'll have the dime super, but I've just started being creative with them, & they deserve consideration despite the vig.
One way I'm looking at them is for Turf MSW - taking those bred for it & boxing.
I will be happy to again sponsor last years teams in the 2nd Annual Precisionist Invitational Pick 4,with $32 per team to wager.
Team 1 Pas,Cockpit,Doc,Turffan and Forego
Team 2 Robin,Propro,Gam,Hezethebest and Quick Call
Hooper
We are again this year blessed with a sponsorship of the entire Breeders Cup card! My friend Bob has committed to $24 for each race, which we can use to either double the team wagering funds, or to afford the opportunity for a second separate team on each race. We have plenty of time to decide.
Absolutely one of the g r e a t e s t Bob's of all time!!!
HOPE... GALLANT... and RJ: Three of the best in my book.
Pas, let's pick a Friday Night for a get together at Whittingham's Pub.
I agree that sponsors should structure their benefit wagers as they see fit.
The (4) Horse tri box is merely a suggested strategy... If memory serves,
it was turffan who had Better Talk Now, to save the day and allow his team to cash.
I wonder if BTN would have been on top, if the team had played it another way?
ANY wager on behalf of our charity effort is helpful... and Pas is right,
we have a good amount of time before the BC. I imagine we'll have a number
of winning strategies in play, come Breeders' Cup Day.
I would like to sponsor one myself. I'm hoping I get the F&M Turf. If Divine Proportions shows up (I hope I hope I hope), picking the tri in there will be nothing more than hitting the exacta for second and third!
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long! I'm completely honored to be invited back for the Precisionist Invitational Pick 4!
Your generosity is, well, incredibly generous, and here's hoping that both Invitational teams can bring home the goods for our charity.
Precisionist is honored here. We have the heart to play for charity, and, while Precisionist was gifted with incredible talent, there was no heart bigger than his. My eyes sometimes kind of well up when I think of him.
I'm proud to say that I'm Precisionist's second biggest fan!
Well Folks.... we're only two weeks away from Breeders' Cup!
Time to start putting your teams together.
We've added a few PLAYER PRIZES to make things interesting!
The TOP (4) scoring BC Benefit Teams get to choose from these prize categories:
(4) HORSE RACING TIES ~
(4) OAK TREE STEINS ~
(4) LUCKY HORSE & JOCKEY THIMBLES ~
(4) HORSE RACING NOTE CARD SETS ~
First choice goes to the team which brings in the most money...
Second choice goes to the team which scores the next highest amount...
and so on, until all prizes have been awarded to the Top 4 scoring teams.
(...i think we can cash at least 4 tickets on BC Day, don't you?)
I'd love to Steve and I want you on mine as well. Dell, I'll sponsor whatever race could use one as of now. Let me know. By the way I'd like to draft the Jman, Steve, and Timmye. Let me know fellas.

HELP WANTED: I am sponsoring a Juvenile Fillies team and I need 3 players to join me. If you are not already on a team and you want to play, you can help this team figure out a winning ticket for the Exceller Fund. ~Heather
Thank you, 'shoes, for being on my team and inviting me to yours! I will definitely be on your team.
Thank you as well, Mrs. Thomas. It's fabulous to have an Ozzie on my team and thank you for your pick as well.
I should have my pick ready by Wednesday of this week. I have only briefly looked over the entries, but tomorrow, I will be able to look everything over.
Three down, one to go. We still need one more person interested in the fillies.
I'd be happy to join you....and it sounds like Croix Boy is available if called upon. Funny, I just saw the replay of the 1989 Mile with your namesake out front early....here's hoping for a better finish than his!
