BC Picks Mid-Saratoga/Del Mar----Sprint

Had Commentator penciled in as the winner here, but he's destined for the Classic.

To the dismay of many, haven't been a fan of LITF. The connections early on ducked tuffer races and now complain there's noone to run against. Bite me! Now training in a bar shoe, what's to like! LITF hasn't really seen pressure yet. Let's see him run vs older who won't spit the bit as easily as his 3yo brethren.

I like Baffy's Woke Up Dreamin. Just had a 5 week vacation and is training again. A nice 46.8 breeze a week ago.

Tons of shhhhppeeeed in this mess. Two closers [well 1.5, lol] that'll be heard from: Greg's Gold who seems to be on a major improve and if they get this one to rate [has happened twice with success], hate the connections, but Forest Danger can pick them up and lay them down after ultra fast fractions. Has been working slower than in the past.

Sheets, The Fogster ducks no one. They announce well in advance where they are going to run him and then they run---every time.

Hey Reg:

When and where did this fine quality mule run last? He hasn't shown up in any of the BRIS BC updates? Just wondering....

About six weeks ago he won an overnight stakes race at Monmouth throwing a nice n' tidy -5.25 in the process. Didn't know mules ran that fast, G.

Hmmmm, a -5.25 per whom and when???

Impressive race, tracking splits 21; 43-3; 56; 1.08-2 what a waste on a Hcp field. D. Wayne woulda run for bigger Graded $$$ at 'Toga.

I'd hazzard a guess they may have been the quickest splits of the meet...

How much did ya lay in the Futures pool?

Won the DeFrancis in his final start last year and was off with ouchy feet until winning the aforementioned Teddy Drone (any you Jersey guys remember that hard-knocker?).

Was to have been the starting highweight in the Arlington Breeders' Cup last week, but a flare-up of the foot problems necessitated a late scratch. Seems like Perkins will have his hands full keeping this one together.

Owner Evy Novak, a Philly guy, races in purple silks as an homage to his creation Barney the Dinosaur.

BTW, he Beyered 116 for the Monmouth race.

Bob,

Sure do remember him, was honest as they come and without question a hardknocking sonofagun.

Found this on him:

Teddy Drone won 31 of 89 career starts, placed 36 times, and earned $833,197.

Hey G, the -5.25 was from the Thorograph PP's when he was entered in the Chi Town BC.

As far as the future wager is concerned, most of my Vegas trip is a blur, but somehow I made it home with a fairly light wallet and a few Bally's futures mysteriously on my person, one of which was a $20 spot on WH @ 35-1.
