Ran these quarters in the Clement Hirsh:

25.80 24.87 24.86 22.91 22.67 going 1 1/4

The extra 1/4 shouldn't be a problem with Alleged on the bottom.

Firm ground at Belmont is what he needs.

Maybe one of the few viable long shots that I'm looking at, Big.

I like Forty Niners Son a lot. His performance in the Arlington Million is key. He came back to win the Oak Tree race in fine fashion, but that Million run is the kicker.

He'll be a pretty big price......and shouldn't be left out of the mix in all the spots. Neil Drysdayle isn't a killer day to day. He seems to be sneaky quiet........woe to anyone who throws him out on a big day at high odds.

Pas

You can throw a blanket over the Filly and Mares.I happen to prefer Film Maker who'll be a price, because on paper she's in the ball park with all of them. She just needs some racing luck and a good ride which she never seems to get.

Fourty Niners Son on the other hand might be better than anything he's running against in the Turf, and he'll be a decent price. The Europeans all have an ugly race or two in their pp's.These are no world beaters.Hurricane Run would have been tough-these others don't scare me.Fourty Niners Son out kicked Better Talk Now from behind in the Million over ground he probably didn't prefer.I think he'll run even better with the added 1/4 mile.Nothing in the field can match his kick.I might be whacko, but I think at 1 1/2 he explodes in the stretch and wins going away.Shakespeare doesn't have that kind of kick.He ran a similar type race with slow early fractions just like Fourty Niners Son and he was set down in what I thought was a long drive. His last two quarters were 23.22 and 24.10 under pressure.Apples and oranges maybe, but in my mind Drysdale's horse is the better of the two at this kind of distance.
