St Liam and Rock Hard Ten

I read in Steve Crist's BC Diary that St Liam's BSF was a 112. He mentioned that Rock Hard Ten earned the same 112 in his very easy victory over Roman Ruler in the Goodwood in his first race in 7 months. Both horses were running over their home tracks and granted, St Liam's competition in his race was considerably tougher, if that means anything. St Liam was in a drive....once he got the lead the result was really never in doubt....but he wasn't exactly geared down. Rock Hard Ten was never even shown the whip, I don't think, in the GW. Gary just said, OK Big Guy, it's time to go, and he went.

Anybody care to attempt to answer the obvious question here? Like "What might have been?"

Edit: In re-reading my post, I did remember that, in fairness to St Liam, he not only ran against better company, but he also ran against about 9 more of them! LOL! He broke from the 13 hole and had to negotiate a trip when he couldn't grab controlling speed. Rock Hard Ten had no such situations to deal with.

Just being fair, and perhaps that really does answer the question.
