Thank-you Dell for extending this wonderful opportunity for us all to put forth an effort of love for our equine friends. It was the spirit of compassion and desire to help that made every person here a winner yesterday. I hope that all of us will continue on an individual basis to support our thoroughbred rescue and retirement organizations of choice with our finances, voices and prayers. Please don't ever stop caring.
I have spoken with at least three prisoners on the TRF Farm in Ocala (and know of others) who have already made arrangements to adopt a retired racehorse and take them home with them when they are released. Most of these men and women will go home to a quiet rural area and have family living on a piece of land large enough and fenced. These horses don't need a 2000 acre plantation to roam around on. The way I look at it is that it is larger than a plot would have been to have buried one of these beautiful animals had the TRF not have stepped in to save their life. The horses have blessed theses peoples' lives and people want to bless the horses' lives. It's a win - win situation.
Thanks again for this spot, Mr.Yount.
I was directed here just before the Derby this year, and have been able to make this place work well for me. Hopefully I have helped a few others make an occasional $$.
I appreciate that many here plus yourself have put up with my somewhat often ego fests. I am just a strongly opinioned gambler, and the mental part is probably necessary.
Outside of football and a Thanksgiving weekend CD blowout, I will demphasize racing until late Feb.
Good luck to you and your flock, and thanks again to everyone for their inspirations and handicapping concepts!
