I have mixed emotions. I love the venue but does it reduce the European contingent?

They were 8 for 9 ITM in the turf races in '03. And it's not like they normally bring more than a couple per in the other races. I assume you ask the question because of the poly or the distance But Euro trainers have been running/training on all weather tracks for a while now and I dont recall the card suffering just because its been in Ca. Maybe Im forgetting something. More likely they wait and see how many Mandella's going to enter before they make a decision.

I just hope we can avoid the fires so SA shows herself a little better.

Wow, I had forgooten re the 8 of 9. My perception (could be faulty) is that they send fewer when its in Socal as the footing is likely to be firmer than Belmont/CD, even if still rated firm.
