At least that's how LARRY'S PICKS sees the Sprint playing out! “TVG

BREEDERS’ CUP SPRINT”
6 FURLONGS ON DIRT FOR 3 YEAR OLDS & UP ($2 MILLION)

1ST - BENNY THE BULL 10-1 JOCKEY – MARK GUIDRY

In your typical wide open BC Sprint, I’m taking a stand that the pace will be torrid enough to allow a deep closer to run them all down late. This can be a dicey proposition as you never really know until the gates open how a race will unfold. This colt turns back a furlong from a strong 2nd place effort in the Grade 1 Forego at Saratoga. He has excelled at this distance in races where he was able to close on the outside and I would expect the soon to be retired Mark Guidry to ride him accordingly. Given a half mile split of 44 flat, he may prevail at generous odds!

2ND - SMOKEY STOVER 7-2 JOCKEY – AARON GRYDER

When evaluating the potential for success in this heat it’s hard to ignore this gelding by PUT IT BACK. He has 7 wins and he’s never been out of the money in 10 tries at the distance including a win over this oval last out. His stalking style should keep him in close attendance throughout and he looks to be the horse to beat despite the disadvantageous rail draw.

3RD - COMMENTATOR 13-1 JOCKEY – JOE BRAVO

This speedy son of DISTORTED HUMOR is a perfect 3-3 over wet tracks, a condition he might very well get on Saturday. He’ll need to repel the likes of BORDONARO, TALENT SEARCH and last years’ BC Sprint pacesetter, ATTILA’S STORM in order to contend for a check.

“SAVER” - KELLY’S LANDING 23-1 JOCKEY – FRANKIE DETTORI

Fresh and fit since winning a Group 1 race in Dubai on 03-31-07, this veteran has worked well at Keeneland preparing for this. He beat a field of 16 that day, including 2006 BC Sprint champion, THOR’S ECHO! Dismiss at your own risk, especially at this price!
