We should acknowledge the passing of Cynthia Phipps, who died as a result of injuries suffered in a fire at her home.
Daugther of Ogden and sister to Dinny, she bred Champion Christmas Past and Grade 1 winners Gold Fever and Versailles Treaty and, yes, Saarland for her own stable.
