Didn't watch the show (didn't care to) but have some problems with the voting.

I have a serious problem with: the two people who did not vote for Zenyatta as Champion Older Female (240 for, 2 for Ginger Punch) and the 6 people who didn't vote for Stardom Bound for Champion 2YO Filly (236 for, 2 for Maram and Springside, 1 each for Sky Diva and Racheal Alexandra). Those moronic individuals should be found right now and executed at the risk they will procreate and spread their stupidity througout the gene pool!!! Are you serious? How can anyone justify Zenyatta wasn't the champion female? She beat Ginger Punch twice head to head (and dont' give me the see was a Cali only horse as she did it once at Oaklawn!). Stardom Bound not a unanamious selection, please. She demolished the competition and the others, umm, they were nice but nothing overwhelming. The voting system is much like the Baseball Hall of Fame system, it is an absolute joke in which people with agendas make it apparent with their voting! These individuals should have their privileges stripped because they apparently don't follow racing (although the two votes for Ginger Punch could be from a couple of Mr. Stronach's own racing secretaries or something!).

I thought Outstanding Breeder would be tighter. Hard to knock what Stonerside accomplished (Raven's Pass and Midshipman), but Adena has an outstanding program and no arguement really. I was a bit surprised Stronach won Outstanding Owner over IEAH (and by 1 vote!) considering they did campaign two Eclipse winners (Big Brown and Benny The Bull with others receiving votes in other categories such as Kip Deville), but my guess is the negative view of some of the principles factored in here. Just my opinion.

Glad to see the BC races were not the end all as Benny The Bull (over Midnight Lute) and Proud Spell/Together Forever (over Goldikova although FT was a BC winner) both won. No complaints anywhere else really. Any one else have an opinion?

Ozzy, I totally agree with you on the Zenyatta thing!

Ginger Punch is truly one of the most hickory mares that we've seen for a long time. That one GI win earlier this year (don't remember what race it was) showed what she was made of. She has nothing to be ashamed of.

But Zenyatta pretty much crushed her in the two times they met....on dirt and synthetic. If there was ever a unanimous Eclipse Award winner it should have been Zenyatta, and those two folks that kept that from happening have zero credibility as far as I'm concerned.

I also thought that the 3yo filly award was going to be a close vote between Proud Spell and Music Note. I was surprised that Proud Spell won the award by as much as she did.....I thought she should win and I'm very happy that she did, but I was pretty shocked that Music Note only got 20 votes.

Then there's the Stardom Bound thing. There's another award that should have been unanimous and wasn't. Go figure!
