Graham and Rhona Beck's DANCER'S DAUGHTER (Act One), the leading turf distaffer in South Africa, is being considered for a run in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) at Santa Anita November 6, with trainer Justin Snaith deeming it "a realistic and attainable option." Dancer's Daughter suffered a minor injury while training at the Vaal this past Monday, and will miss her intended appearance in the Horse Chestnut S. (SAf-G1) at Turffontein April 4. "I am not prepared to take any chances with a filly of this caliber," Snaith said in a release. "Although she is trotting sound and we could persist, I feel this will be the wrong option in the bigger scope of things. I will chat to Mr. Beck and Mike Sharkey today to discuss our next step." Snaith added that five-year-old Dancer's Daughter, a last-out winner of the February 28 Empress Club S. (SAf-G1) in her first start at altitude and runner-up to Horse of the Year Pocket Power (Jet Master) in the J & B Met (SAf-G1), would have the Durban July S. (SAf-G1) as her next major goal. The gray filly was second to Pocket Power in that event last season...
