We are a group of friends who have come together because we share the common bond of caring for someone who has Trisomy 21. We are here to share therapy tips, medical issues, laughs, accomplishments and yes, even frustrations. We embrace what Trisomy 21 has brought into our lives. We feel that it has taught us to appreciate the true meaning of life. We count our children as blessings! We will fiercely protect them and fight for their lives to be valued just as all other peoples' are. We share our pictures, our stories and our hearts here not only to provide friendship and support for each other, but also in the hopes that others will open their minds and their hearts to our unique children and, in turn, make a better world for everyone.

Anyone here is SE Wisconsin? ( or even NE IL?)

We just moved to Kenosha last fall and missed the buddy walk...we seem to make a habit of moving right about then.

ANYWAY...this year we were talking about going to the Buddy walk but it looks like the closest one is Wauwatosa.

Just wondering if that is the closest or not because thats a 45 minutes drive at least ( best I can tell)
and I looked online but since I am not as familiar with this area its harder for me to judge distance and what not.

Yes the closest walk is going to be in Wauwatosa. But I am on the DSAW board and we have several Racine/Kenosha families participating. Hope you can make it! If you want to register, simply go to our website.

It will be something really unique for me. I mean I have met a couple of families with children with T21 but most of the people I know are online. So this will be something really new for me!
