After centuries of sleep, she had woke, risen and listened to small mice who had told her of a Sanctuary. They thought she might be able to find a home within the Sanctuary. So she had come. Having ventured inside a few times, she had never really felt welcome. Lady Jaeden, the ruler had welcomed her as well as a few others, but past that, no one even wished her a good day.
Feeling a loneliness that made her heart ache, she walked out of the stables and the pastures, dragging her wings, not even feeling like flying. The mice who had kept her safe for centuries had been more of friends and family, but they could not keep her.
She left a note to Lady Jaeden, thanking her for her welcome and telling her that she felt no one really wanted her here. Apparently whatever her crimes of the past were had made her unwelcome here. So she would leave as she had arrived in peace, looking for someplace to call a home and searching for her rider.
