Jaeden has Created the Scantuary for the Paladin Knights. She has also assigned certain knights to the protection of those within the Scantuary, as well as the laws of the Scantuary. If you wish to be one of those wh oprotects the Scantuary, then you should speak with Jaeden and if she thinks that you are fit for the job I am certian that she will grant you the duties of those that she has chosen.
It would seem to me that if you want to be just protectors and upholders of the laws of the Scantuary, then you should follow the protocols set out by it's creator. Generally you would ask for permission before creating a group of people who are going to be running about 'hunting people down', as you put it, in the name of defending that person and that persons ideals.
I know that I certainly wouldn't appreciate people running around killing people in my name if I hadn't given them permission first.
*kat reads the note on the board and giggles at the silly man. She sits down and writes a note on a page from her coloring book her childish scraw filling up the whole page*
"mr. Crass
momma p'tects the sanctuary, if you want to help you should be one of her knights, maybe even one of the christmas carol nights! You should ask her. It's fun!
KAT"
*then she stands up and stretches on tip toe to stick her note on the board*
*First only the decaying, blood stained teeth displayed in a nearly wicked grin and its sickly yellow, predatory eyes were visible. But then the entire bony, near skeletal cat with the strange markings tattooed upon its skin appeared. It perused the messages looking disdainfully at one. A piece of parchement with worn and tattered edges materialized upon the board, rusty thumb tack and all, with a message written in an elegant flowing black inked script, spattered lightly in places with what looked to be blood. When read it projected a voice that was calm, sly, confident, and portrayed a sense of either arrogance or an understanding of vast amounts of knowledge and posessed a very suave melodic quality.*
Mmm... Murder in the name of others... and without their scantion at that... Verrry interresting indeed. I doubt she'd even mind if I sucked the life out of some of them... Oh but that is soo boring, just sucking the life out of things... (A throaty content purring could be heard) What would the mouse be if the Cat didn't play with it first? (the purring halted momentarily as thee voice dropped into a dull statement.) Boring, thats what. (the purring resumed again, the melody coming came to the voice) Oh, Edith Anne will be so pleased to hear the news..... New toys to play with.
*The Cat wandered back to where it came from, slowly disappearing from view except for its twisted grin and sickly eyes.*
She wandered past the board a few minutes later, the look on her face almost innocent and she saw the posting, recognizing the voice of her most loving companion. She read some of the other postings and her eyes began to sparkle as her excitement grew and she turned and almost ran off, her heart beating rapidly.
She caught up to the near skeletal cat with the strange markings tattooed on its skin and she could feel the energy pouring forth from him as she hugged him tightly, the front of her pinafore slightly red with what looked to be blood and appearently not her own since the cat seemed not to be alarmed in the least in her apppearance.
"I saw the letter. Oh, Purty Kitty, how I wish She let's us play."
"Yess... It would, in fact, be quite purrfect."
"Yes, yes, Purty Kitty......deliciously perfect..." the child says as she grins widely.
Sickly yellow predatory eyes followed hapless victims as they wandered about unsuspecting, the odd pair thinking of dinner.
"Oh yes.......delightful place.....so much......to eat." She nodded, looking about, feeling the energy flow.
The rattling throaty purr picked up as it wondered if Jaeden would turn them loose on the presumptious upstarts. New play things were always appreciated.
Edith Anne nods thoughtfully. "If we asked very very nicely, she might let us.....but we will have to clean up any mess....."
"But of course we'll clean up our mess... we always do.. don't we?" It grinned baring its decaying bloodstained teeth in a twisted pride.
She hugged the cat once more tightly. "Oh, yes ,yes, Purty Kitty...we are always neat and clean...we would not want the pretty ArchAngel angry with us....no, no, no, that would not be at all nice for us."
"No.... no it wouldn't..." It spoke a little grudgingly, not liking the fact that it would have to work on someone elses terms. "... I rather lke where my skin is right now..."
She nods. "Yes, yes, Purty Kitty...the ArchAngel would get angry with us and not let us have any new toys......and we don't want that...no, no, no....." Her small hand gently caressed the cat's head as if caressing a lover.
"That is what we love to do after all... we do love to play don't we Edith Anne?" It was grining again.
She hugged its boney neck tightly, smiling brightly. "Oh yes, yes, yes, Purty Kitty....we love to play.....it is just so nice to play with the little beings that just don't understand that they are so low on the food chain....."
It raised one eyebrow as it watched a prospective meal wander by. "It is rather amusing isn't it? ... the way they think they're so important ..."
She nods, feeling the still bloodied butcher knife in her pinafore pocket.
The Cat grinned it's twisted prideful grin again.
Edith Anne grinned at the Kitty, her own sigh of contentment like a purr as they moved off together thinking of the lovely meals that the ArchAngel might let them have.
And as they walked off, the Cat's voice could be heard....."You look good in RED... a little sticky, but good..."
*the calm, cool regal looking red head strolls up to the board, grace in her steps and anger in her eyes. She reached a graceful hand to the board and tacks a note to it near the note from Crass Gayle*
"Dear sir,
by attempting to form this 'group' you are suggesting that we, the Starfire Paladin Knights, are not proficient in defending our own home. We need no other defense than ourselves and your offer is not kindly received. Please sir, form your group in your own intrest, and on your own land not in ours.
And if the above paragraph was to verbose for you to understand let me reduce it into little, easily digested, words:
No intrests, not needed, go away.
Syrian Kyrel Cunnaratch Banrigh
Starfire Palladin Knights Council of 13"
She presses her finger against the note, marking it with her sigil and then strides away from the board.
He snorts a little Creating a group that claims to uphold the tennets of another with out first attaining that groups permission? For a Second time? ... Oh thats rich.
You might want to get your act together before you try again. You know what they say, Third times a charm. Smirks
*walks to the board in his brother's shadow*
the point my brother was trying so eloquently to relay is that the Starfire Palladin's are quite self-sufficent and need no help from the outside. Please refrain from attempting to do unapproved actions within the Sanctuary. This a a moderated roleplay and you don't have the moderator's permission. So next time, read the FAQ and ask before you try something...especially before you try it twice.
If it had been me and it isn't, after having been jumped on by that many people for the MISTAKE of not reading the room's rules, I'd have run away crying by now and I wouldn't be back. I think that's quite enough.
I am glad that you all support the rooms rules and stand behind them, but that seems to me to be quite enough.
