Hope you didn't want those tulips.

April 22 2002 at 2:16 PM
Isadora

*the tiny dragon flutters in on the spring breeze, she looks about making sure she's being watched and then systematically bites the heads off all the tulips then glaring at anyone and everyone flits up to the garden gate*

ROOOWRRRR!

(the fierce roar would probably have been a little more impressive if Isadora was a little bigger)

she then flies over to the board and writes in tinnie tiny letters

Dragons don't cry. They get even.

Isadora.

~The youngest of the eternal children of Jaeden looks up at the tiny dragon destroying the tulips and she runs over to the message board, her hands on her hips, looking up at the teensy tiny letters and frowns like a six-year-old is wont to do sometimes~

Ohhh....Isadora....bad dragon!! You forgets that Momma is a dragon too....and she a LOTS bigger than you. And why you no want to cry??? What wrong?

~Amanda waits patiently for Isadora's reply.~

Terrible Tulips

April 24 2002, 6:49 PM

*Isadora who's always braver when she's not actually looking at a much bigger dragon snorts derisively.*

So she's a much bigger dragon! A much bigger dragon aught to have been able to do something shouldn't she have?

Bright's not even written his Mother since mid-winter.

The only reason he possibly wouldn't have written in so long would be a grave one.

I'm talking a six feet under one!!!

Bigger dragon *grumble, snort, roar, paw, scrap, flame, smoke..*

I'm not afraid of a bigger dragon. Smaller dragons hide better. And we're prettier. And we can survive on much less food so we're hardier!

I warned everyone they'd know my wrath. Someone should have done something!

ROWR! ROWR! ROWR!

......but....

April 25 2002, 6:46 PM

The six year old looks back at the tiny dragon, listening to her words.

"Isadora, Mommy couldn't stop Bright....YOU couldn't stop him either!! So don't you be so high and mighty with me!"

The eternal child glared at the tiny dragon, her hands still on her hips.

"Hmmph! And my sissy Kat DID do something. She went to look for Bright. And she's gone now too and ... and ... and ..."

The tiny dragon's words sunk in about a grave and six feet under and she slumped down on the cobbestone walkway, tears welling into her eyes.

"Grampy Rand died...he was Mommy's 'dopted Daddy. Malcolm is going to be my new Daddy. He can't die either and not Bright and not Kat ... and ... and ...."

The six-year-old burst into tears.

The woes of actually listening to a butterfly dragon...

April 25 2002, 7:00 PM

Isadora cocks her head to one side and looks up at the child in sympathy. She flits up and gently licks away the tears and does her best to console.

There now. I'm sure it's not as bad as all that. Kat hasn't been gone near as long as Bright I'm sure she's only greivously injured.

after a moment or two adds...

Come we'll find you a pretty black dress for the funeral. That will make you feel better. Black compliments those beautiful eyes of yours. Why those eyes are almost as pretty as mine.

And a nice black lace bow for your hair. That'll cheer you up.

"....greivously injured??"

"....black dress for the funeral???"

The child just looked at the butterfly dragon and cried even harder at the thought.
