| Someone had suggested he find something more....relaxing... to do. To step away from the problems that haunt him.
So here he stood. Before a massive block of flawless obsidian that had cost him almost as much coin as in any single small kingdom.
There were already chunks of glossy black volcanic stone strewn about the chamber he requisitioned. The rough work on this statue already begun as he sought out the form the stone was meant to be. The tools he had for the finer work untouched as his diamond hard nails sufficed for this rough work.
Even as he stood considering the emerging form, he struck off a piece of obsidian with a deft strike of his left thumb.
He was beginning to see what would become....and he thought it appropriate.
Gunter had forgoten how much he enjoyed art. Even if on a grand scale... |

The massive obsidian statue was slowly becoming a recognizable form...that of a winged female just lifting off the ground. A sword in one hand and something as yet to be recognized in the other. She was beautiful, yet daunting for the fact she was 15 feet tall. There was something purposeful and menacing in the lines of her body...
Gunter labored with little notice for the passing of time, lost in the creation. His skin seemingly turned dusky and aglitter with the obsiddian dust that covered him.... |

~ Elisa stumbled upon Gunter late that evening and stood back to watch him work. It was beautiful....very.....but she had come for a purpose.~
Gunter, I thought you should know that we believe Zchadazar has made his first move. There are seeds of a revolution starting in Norworld. Gabrielle was the one sent. |

| Expected news...somewhat... | December 10 2002, 10:07 PM |
Gunter paused in his work and did not immediately turn around as he let what was told to him by Elisa sink in. When he did there was anger sorrow and concern vying for dominance in his eyes..
This is not His first move. I have told you what He had been up to Elsewhere. It is just that He is now getting to your world. I wish I had been told before one of you had gone.... He would be expecting one of you.
Just....
Why did it have to be Gabrielle? |

~ Elisa looks at him and arches her eyebrow ~
Why Gunter...You should know the answer to that question better than I. Out of the three of us, whom possess superior intuition and empathy? Who better to fight whomever Zchadazar sent, if it is indeed him.
At any rate, she has the power she needs, if she needs it, to see this through....
You need to learn to have faith in others....You of all people should know that Gabrielle is not what she seems. |

| Both more and less | December 10 2002, 10:43 PM |
Gunter frowned and sighed
I am quite aware that Gabrielle...and you and Brenna for that matter, are more than they seem.
I'd be...almost...as concerned if it were you or Brenna going.
But I served Him a very long time. He is both more....and less....than even you suspect you knew about Him.
That said. I am truly confident she will somehow prevail. Though I doubt untouched.
I believe I have a right to worry... |

You are entitled to your feelings Gunter...I can't stop that.
If I had any doubts that Gabrielle wouldn't be able to handle what is to come, I would have gone with her. As it stands, she does posses the power...the ultimate power....for now.
Learn to accept that there are some things you can't change.....
~ with that said, Elisa turned and walked out of the room ~ |

| What is known... | December 10 2002, 11:11 PM |
Gunter KNEW he would see Gabrielle again. It was just something that would be. But what he suspected was happening was something he would not wish anyone to have to experience.
There were all kinds of scars...
After thinking for many minutes, he decided he would be most usefull finishing his art.
Beauty and inspiration, he found, can remove some scars... |

| Time to finish | December 12 2002, 9:43 PM |
It was five days later when Gunter stepped away from his finished product. He did not know what it would become, but he saw now what it was.
Who it was...
It figures. And yet appropriate. He muttered.
It was the Lady Jaeden.Beautiful. Perfect. Majestic. Fearsome, even though nude. Naked in Her glory. Her sword in one hand, Her glaive in the other. Wings beginning to spread to take flight. To mete out justice.
Gunter nodded. He then left. It was time to bathe. Rest a day, then go find himself an immense and flawless block of Alabaster.
He wanted to see what else would come.... | |
