Happy Thanksgiving to all, whether you celebrate the day or not since I am certain most have something in their lives to be thankful for. [smile]

my beef with the holidays

WOO HOO... yay the holidays are here.
Thanksgiving and food, christmas and presents... or whatever celebration you join in during this season. Family, friends, good will towards mankind and all that jazz. It's just great. I love it.

BUT! (you knew that was coming)

who decided turkey was the main course meat of choice? Someone please tell me so i can go back in time and change it. There are very few ways to prepare turkey where it is a prefered taste ... and the traditional way is not one of them.
That's it... enough is enough. Next year, my house, thanksgiving dinner... steaks and burgers baby!! oh yeah.

Beef,... it's what's for Thanksgiving.

Hmmm, what planet you from?
I didn't have turkey.
I had lasagne, caesar salad, garlic bread, antipasto and cannoli.
Yummy.

obviously the wrong planet.

My family goes all out for all that turkey and dressing and cranberry sauce (which isn't even a "sauce" more like a jelly), green bean casarole, etc etc. granted you can never have too much mashed potatoes and gravy with rolls... BUT...

yeah, i think yours sounds much tastier than what I had.
