Response to Swiss test sample probably not
I am pretty convinced that it is an AAC gun in the Swiss photo. There is too close of a physical resemblence to the 37mm AAC antiaircraft gun in catalog photos that I have seen and also to the gun on the naval mounting in the photos in this thread. Given that AAC was actively marketing its weapons in the 30's, and I would imagine that they had a AT gun version of their 37mm available for sale, it is not too unbelieveable to think that the Swiss, who were busy rearming at this same time period might not have purchased a sample for test purposes. I wish I could see an AAC catalog and see if they have any 37mm AT guns in it that would match this picture, that would help clear things up. In the meantime I am going to look around for more info on Swiss rearmament and arms purchases in this time period and see if I can find anymore info.
