The Overvalwagen Forum
This is a discussion forum dedicated to the research of (mainly) pre-WW2 military equipment, with the emphasis on non-standard and lesser known material of smaller or non-belligerent nations. The Forum is an offshoot of Overvalwagens! Kaleidoscope of military vehicles of the Dutch East and West Indies before 1945 (which can be found on http://www.overvalwagen.com) Overvalwagens was my first big military history project, started in 2004. Feel free to discuss military vehicles of the Dutch East and West Indies and other nations right here on this forum. My second project is the history of HIH, or HIH Siderius, a forgotten Dutch gunproducer. Artillery of the Dutch forces is also of great interest, as is lesser known equipment of other nations.

Vickers AA Carrier View thread on Jul 23, 2009 10:55 PM
This Vickers 40-mm AA Carrier is preserved in Thailand. It is an extremely rare variant of the highly succesful Vickers-Armstrong export product, the Vickers 6-ton tank. In 1933 Thailand purchased 10 units of the single turret type

Fransson in Bofors 350 oar mentions 25 pieces all together being sold to Siam, Switzerland and Persia in the first half on the 1930s..., page 105 But Thailand had just four L42s, received in 1935: http://www.network54.com/Forum/330333/search?searchterm=thailand&sort=date

Hello Stellan, I have some information that the Persian Army had eleven and a half batteries of Bofors 75mm AA at the time of the Anglo-Soviet invasion. Assuming four guns per battery that makes forty-six for Persia. Eighteen more for Thailand

Siam (Thailand) 1934 bought 8 pcs 75 mm AA guns L/50 M/1930 from Bofors. At the same time 20 Landsverk Tractors L-131 and 16 L-132 (Picture above). In 1937 another 10 pcs 75 mm AA guns L/50 M/1930 were ordered but only 7 were delivered before 1939
75 mm field guns in Siam View thread on Nov 1, 2007 1:01 PM
Siam ordered 80 75 mm field guns L/40. 28 of these were placed under embargo and pressed into service with the Swedish Army as 7,5 cm kanon m/40 S. So possibly 52 were delivered to Siam (from 1939 Thailand).

75 mm AA Guns View thread on Oct 4, 2006 11:38 AM
The guns are 75 mm AA guns M/1930 Bofors. I do not know how many guns Siam (Thailand) bought but on the picture there are eight. China, Persia and Siam totally bought 64 such guns.
