I have interest about Israeli home-made Armoured cars and Personnel carriers, which were made on American and British chassis (for example, US half-tracks or big jeeps, with (or no) turrets) during First Arab-Israeli war in 1948. I need any photos, drawings, plans of them, and any technical data.
If anyone has such materials, please e-mail me.
Wait for answer from You.
Best regards, Eduard.

I've been going through this site and found the message. Someone may have already suggested the Osprey book on armor in the Middle Eastern Wars. It has some pictures and at least one drawing of the 6pdr AT gun mounted on a US half track. There are pictures of the US wheeled scount cars with body changes and an MG turret.
What I would like if you have it is just how many half tracks and scout cars arrived in time for the fighting. The numbers seem to be astate secret even this long after the 48 War. If you reply, send to me.
