Well, I got the results from my second cholesterol check and I am now in the "good zone" - YAY!

However, my doctor still wants to put me on Lipitor. I need to find out why, but I assume she's worried because heart disease runs in my family (both my parents died of heart attacks the same day but in different cities in 1980). But, I'm going to keep monitoring it periodically and keep doing what I'm doing and not take the medication yet. If I can reduce it in a month with diet and exercise, I don't see why I should take medication! This only proves to me, once again, that diet and exercise makes SUCH a big difference. I am searching for a holistic doctor now to get some different input and opinions. I've found one, but just haven't made the appointment yet. I'm tired of MDs just throwing pills at things without finding the cause of the problem in the first place. Sometimes you need medication, but many times you don't!
I'm wearing a sleek ponytail today, but I'm getting tired of them. I think they look better on me than updos, but I wear them more than any other style and I reckon I'm just getting tired of them. I was practicing updos last night in the free 10 minutes I had, but they all looked icky. Since I don't blow dry my hair anymore, it's rare that I can wear it down - mainly just on the weekends or dates with Mike since he likes it down no matter how it looks. At work it's really in the way down and doesn't look very professional air dried. When I air dry my waves are irregular and it just kinda looks like I slept on it - even though I haven't! :P
I'm washing my hair about every other day now that it's summer and I'm working out much more. And, when I work out, I SWEAT. So, I'm washing (CWC) about every other day rather than twice a week. I just air dry in the morning or at night. Sometimes I do my pony curls, but with the humidity lately, it's pretty much a waste of time since the curls just wilt...
Tonight is wash night and I think I'll try Jessicurl's Cleansing Cream a second time to see how I like it. First try was good. It doesn't lather a lot, but it cleaned my hair just fine.
