What a beautiful August day! I feel a little guilty enjoying such a glorious day here when the reason for our cool and clear weather (with little humidity!) is due to the Florida hurricanes, Bonnie and Charlie. I hope they dissipate before hitting land; I feel for all the people who are mandated to evacuate. I've heard that Charlie is headed towards the beach we used to visit every summer when visiting my Grandma - Clearwater Beach. Here is a picture of the beach as I remember it from back in the late 50's and early 60's, though it doesn't look much like this nowadays:
I have wonderful memories of that beach and do hope it is spared. So, while Clearwater and Florida are evacuating, we are basking in a sunny almost autumn-like day. I decided to dress for fall and am wearing autumn colors - browns and golds and tans, and my well-worn cowboy boots.
My hair definitely likes this low humidity. I have it pulled back into a low pony tail with my new leather slide that I ordered from leatherjewels.com. I will have to take a picture of it and my other ponys to add to the Style of the Month for August at the Loom. I wear them quite often, so really should contribute.
The weekend is almost here and my days are planned out already. There is just too much to do and I'm sure I won't have time to update my little journal here. I am hoping that tonight will be leisurely as Mike and I haven't had a leisurely night all week. Tomorrow he will be working at the new property all day while I work at our house. I will also make his birthday cake at last. He wants a strawberry cheesecake.

Saturday night is our "date night" (we almost always stay in for our date

) and then all day Sunday we will both be at the condo working together. There have been major changes already and it's exciting seeing the place evolve.
