Well, puh-tooey…

I wrote out my hair experiments Saturday, but then couldn’t get online (cable was down for awhile), so saved the Word document that I’d written it in (I usually write it in Word before posting). But, I forgot to send it to myself so I’d have it here at work, so I’ll have to post my weekend experiments tomorrow.
Today I am, once again, wearing a low pony with my new favorite hair toy, the leather slide I ordered from leatherjewels.com. I even got a compliment on it from a fellow co-worker (a male one at that). Here is what the slide looks like:
Slide from leatherjewels.com
I’m awaiting 3 more slides from Lajos, who wrote me a very nice email, making sure I received my first order. I ordered the same slide I’m wearing, but wanted a bigger one for updos and I think he might have thought I never received my first one. It was considerate of him to inquire. His slides are very reasonably priced and should last forever; they’re hand sewn and made of thick leather. I used to wear similar ones back on the 60’s and until recently could only find imitations that looked cheap and poorly made.
I’d intended to take some pony pictures this weekend, but alas, that’s another thing that didn’t get done. Ah well, I have until the end of August to add them to the Style of the Month, and Mike is ready and able to shoot away.
The weekend was busy and I didn’t even go help Mike at the condo. I had too much to do at the house and still ran out of time. I’d hoped to get some reading or research in, but that didn’t happen. By the end of Sunday I was starting to feel like an old washer woman – lol. Lots of laundry and cleaning and arranging and I must’ve walked a hundred miles - :P. It was worse than usual since I’d spent all of last weekend at the condo – so chores just got out of hand. Mike helps when he's not building our addition or working elsewhere - which he usually is! He's a swirling dervish and the most industrious man I think I've ever known. I usually have to force him to sit down and relax.
I did watch
Somewhere in Time for the probably 5th time while I was doing housework (I’d pause to watch the “good parts”

), and …sigh… got all choked up again. I love the period clothes and all the romance.

Jane Seymour’s hair in the movie is just devine in all the updos. (See:

Mike and I made time for our date night on Saturday.

We stayed in and burned some nice incense and had some wine and just enjoyed each other’s company. We plan our date nights since it's so easy to get wrapped up in the mundane...
