Lake Walk

I had a great, though busy, weekend. Mike and I took Saturday off and went to the bead show. We were there about two hours and had fun, but the beads were too expensive! The problem was that you had to buy a whole strand of similar beads and I only wanted a couple here and there for my earrings. I did buy some silver beads and ear wires, but that was about it. I saw quite a few hand-made beads and beaders there. Some were just beautiful and I’m tempted to learn how to make them myself. Where I take my silversmithing class also has a bead making class. Something to think about… While there, we also saw a lady with her hair in two braids and it still reached her knees! Plus, she had colored sections of her hair a deep purple. Very interesting. The pointed piercing sticking straight out of her bottom lip was bit too much for me, but to each his own…

After the bead show, we went to the condo to see what we need to do next on the renovation and then decided to take a walk around the entire lake to check it out. I took pictures so we’ll have them when we want to put the property on the market in a month or so. We’ll need some photos to show the view and amenities y’know. Here are a few shots of our walk around the lake:

I always like seeing scenery of other places, so thought these might be nice for those who don’t live in the Southern US.

I didn’t do too much with my hair this weekend. Actually washed it on Saturday morning with AO’s ‘poo and GPB and washed it again last night since I’d gotten quite sweaty on our lake walk. I used Jessicurl’s Cleansing Cream and Aloeba Conditioner that I like so much. It turned out so nice and smooth – almost as frizzless as when I deep heat condition with the Kiehl’s mask. Too bad I had to then sleep on it. I think later this week I’ll wash in the morning and let it dry as I come into work. It just looks and feels better down when I wash in the morning – and I can actually wear it down. Today, it’s back in my banana pony.
