... though we're only getting the "left over" rains and wind. It's going to be a very wet and windy day here.
We had another crazy busy weekend. I am so looking forward to selling this condo and having a normal life back.

Mike ended up spending most of Saturday running a gas line to my new stove since there wasn't one there, and now the stove is up and running and I love it. The old electric one is off to the condo. Sunday we spent a large part of the day picking out ceiling fans and light fixtures and shopping around for bushes that like a lot of shade. We need to landscape a bit around the place and picked up a fountain for a little alcove there because the sound of water is so nice. I can't wait to shoot the "after" pics. The transformation is phenomenal. And it won't be too much longer now before we can put it on the market. Fortunately, Mike and I have the same taste, and picking out all the colors and textures and lighting, etc. has been a lot of fun. It bodes well for when we build our own house down the road. Today he is starting to create a custom mantel for the fireplace. It'll be his own design and it's going to look awesome.
I wore my hair in a figure 8 bun the whole weekend since it was getting quite oily and I was doing house and condo work. Here's a pic, though it's poor quality:

(I finally got the hang of getting a real figure 8 down, though this is a bad example.) I'd put quite a bit of jojoba on my ends Friday night since they were feeling a bit rough and had planned to wash yesterday (Sunday). But, we needed to do some cleanup at the condo and I didn't want it down or clean for that, so I ended up washing it this morning before work since we got back late last night. It had gotten
very oily and looked stringy and I even had a dream about trying to get it washed before work. I did a full wash this time (including washing the length) since I hadn't in awhile, and used Shikai Color Reflect Shampoo (

http://www.internatural-alternative-health.com/ingr/ingr287607.cfm). It's not as "natural" as AO, but I wanted a change today. Here are the ingredients for the shampoo:
Water, Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe Bardensis), Blue Malva Extract (Malva Sylvestris), Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocoamide MEA, Glycerin, Panthenol, Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis), Amodimethicone, Glycol Distearate, Sunflower Extract (Helianthus Annus), Salt, Citric Acid, Diazolidinyl Urea, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Natural Fragrance
I'd wanted to do a vinegar rinse, but forgot to do it before I put on the conditioner, but went ahead and did it anyway afterwards just as an experiment. It worked great, though I wonder if it affected the conditioner properties at all. My hair doesn't smell the least bit vinegary. Anyway, it's nice to have clean hair again.

After combing out, I added jojoba to the ends and then added some Phyto Infusing Balm. It's a humid day here, but I don't seem to have much of the frizzies going on. It pretty much dried on the way in to work and I'm wearing it down - something I am doing less and less these days.
Brent Jones called and said he'd be back at the salon on October 23, so I'm thinking about going in for a dusting. I'm not ready for another treatment as I'm just not sure how beneficial it is, but I could use a tiny trim.
