Growing longer and moving plants

I've not written much lately since I've not been doing any "newsworthy" things with my hair and my mind has been elsewhere - thinking about the recent election and what the repercussions will be. But I don't want to pontificate about that here - at least not now, but will continue doing research and learning as much as I can.

I did do a heat treatment on Sunday with the Kiehl's mask and my hair has been so smooth and moisturized looking since then. Tonight is wash night and I'm going to try AO's Honeysuckle Rose 'poo and conditioner for the first time. I just LOVE the smell of the conditioner particularly and am hoping it lingers in my hair like the GPB does. I ordered the AO from VitaminShoppe online and while the prices are MUCH better than in the stores around here, it sure took them a long time to ship them to me. Next time, I'll plan in advance!

Mike and I were at the computer last night and he saw Leia's most recent hair picture (hi Leia ) and commented on how beautiful it was ("WOW!" is the word he used). He then asked me if I thought I'd ever cut my hair short. I said no, but one day I might go back up to BS length, but I didn't yet know since I'm still growing out my hair. I asked him if he thought it was getting too long (I'm touching waist) and he said "NO". I asked about it getting longer (I'm now thinking I want classic length) and he said he'd love it that long. And, when I asked if he minded my wearing my hair up more and more, he admitted that it didn't bother him at all! He used to say that he hated buns, but now I guess he associates them with me and doesn't perceive them as being so negative anymore (he'd had bad experiences with bun people!) So that was good to hear - especially since I do wear my hair up at least 2/3rds of the time now. It's good to know though that if I had to cut my hair short for some reason (you never know), he would still be supportive.

It's getting chilly here now - in the upper 30's at night, so we had to bring in all my houseplants this past weekend. We put them in the screened porch and then enclosed the whole room in plastic, added a heater and a plant light. They do well in there like that over the winter. I've had one of my plants for over 30 years. It's a split leaf philodendron and is almost too big to move, but I love it. Most of my plants are succulents or cactus. Since they don't grow here naturally (way too humid), I am intrigued by them. Here is a picture of the room before we moved the plants in (it was the cat's "leisure" room - lol):

And here it is, with the plants in there (though you can't see all of them).

And, here is a picture of the beautiful sky we've been having lately and some of the spindly pines in my yard.

That's it for now.
