I haven’t written here in a long time - too many things going on in real life! Mostly good things too. Where to start…

Mike and I left Atlanta for Thanksgiving and spent the day and night at Chateau Elan in northern Georgia. The weather was cold but beautiful. We had a great time and here are some pictures:

Chateau Elan:

Where we had our Thanksgiving dinner:

This was taken at the window in our room. For some reason, my hair looks short here! I wore it like this to our Thanksgiving dinner – the only time I had it down.

Here I am in front of the statue at the winery. It was very windy outside, so I had my hair pulled back with the banana clip I like so much:

Here is Mike and me having a snack and waiting for the winery tour and tasting:

After leaving the winery the next day, we took a drive through the mountains and stopped at the Mark of the Potter on the Soque River:

I love this place and go when I want some hand made pottery (until I get my own studio set up one day). Here I am (after Mike bought be a beautiful pot to put honey in) front and back, wearing a ponytail and hat:

We had a great time, but I’m having a hard time catching up here and writing emails and making Christmas gifts.

My hair is giving me little trouble these days and the frizzing has calmed down, most likely due to the lack of humidity in the cold autumn air. I love it! I’ve been using Aveda’s Sap Moss shampoo with Nature Gates Original Conditioner (the brown one that smells so good) and it’s been a very good combination. I’ve not done any plopping or rolling or much manipulating of the hair these days. It’s either in some style of pony, down (rarely) or in a figure 8. But, I have a Christmas party to go to this weekend and hope to do the Morguebabe/Equestrian/Victoria Secret wavy buns for it. If I do, I’ll take pictures of the process. It produces the BEST waves and curls that last a couple of days. It reminds me so much of my hair when it was permed.

On the creative front, I’ve been making myself some earrings that I like very much. Will have to remember to take some pictures. I’m shopping around for more beads as I have a feeling I might want to eventually sell some. I’m making them because I can never find what I like. This way, I get exactly what I like!

There is much more to ramble on about, but I must run. Will write later when I get another breather.
