I tried to take some update pictures this past weekend, but didn’t get the results I usually get from my Kiehl’s Lecithin and Coconut Enriched Hair Masque so didn’t like the way my hair turned out. Normally when I do a deep treatment with my heat cap and the Kiehl’s my hair is luxuriantly smooth, shiny and soft. I did do one thing I normally don’t do when I used the masque and it’s the only thing I can think that would cause a difference. After rinsing the masque out of my hair I wanted to smell Lush’s American Cream so added a small amount to my length and then rinsed it all out. Would that make such a difference? My hair, when dry, felt coarse, not soft and smooth like usual. Doesn’t make sense!

Anyway, I took a few pictures, but most didn’t turn out because the lighting was bad and I was in a rush. I did get this one, which is okay, so will add it here. I wish it was hanging straight down though, so I could compare the length better.
One good thing was that later in the day Mike kept sniffing my hair, telling me how great it smelled.
As soon as I can I want to get a better update picture though. I’ll just use the Triple Moisture that I like so much and that should work fine.
I’m still pondering a substantial trim, but think what I might do is go have a treatment with Brent at Farlow’s first just to get his opinion on my ends and length. He deals with so much long hair it would be good to get his input. And maybe the treatment will make my hair happy and encourage me to grow it longer...

. So, no major trim in the
immediate future.
Mike and I spent Sunday at my house tying up all the loose ends. He repaired a wooden door (actually rebuilt it) that would have cost $2000 (!) to replace while I painted the porch and patio. I also did all the final clean-up and the place sparkles. All we have left to do is replace one gutter and mow and blow the yard. It should go on the market next week! We are soooooo ready to sell it and move on with our lives and have some fun. I can’t even remember what fun
is! aarrgghhh… We both need a vacation badly. Once the house is sold we’ll go somewhere and whoop it up.
Flowers are blooming here and Mike and I are anxious to landscape our new yard. I sent off for all the old plant and seed catalogs I used to get – Burpee, Park, Gurneys and Michigan and am anxiously watching my mailbox for their arrival. I love growing things and have missed digging around in the ground. Our yard is an empty canvas and we’re trying to decide what we want to do with it. We have very nice grass, but that’s pretty much it. We have pretty much decided that we want to plant some yoshido cherry trees in the front yard. They are sooooo beautiful when they bloom, but usually last only about 20 years. Hmmm… maybe we should stick with dogwoods, but I think the cherry will win out.
