Spring is bursting out all over

This is too exciting. Mike and I finished my house last weekend, put it on the market late Sunday night, got my first offer Tuesday and sold it for full price the same day! It was on the market for less than two days! Closing is on April 29th and we are sooooo happy. All the work paid off and it will be nice to not be making that extra house payment every month – and to not be spending my weekends over there working.

For those who know about the “beauty room” Mike was building, here is the finished product:

Of course, I never got to use it! It was going to be where I could put all my hair toys and jewelry, etc. And, here is a third of the huge master closet he built (it has three “bays” and this is just one of them!) – that we also didn’t get to use. Ah well, the new owner will love them both.

Hair news is that I am in the mood to cut it! I’m getting my roots done tonight and that will help, but my ends just don’t look as full as they did even three months ago. I’m waiting until I see Brent at Farlow’s Salon April 16th for the “treatment” to get his input, but in the meantime, I’m quite frustrated with it as I can hardly ever wear it down anymore. I feel it is too long on me for the thickness (or lack thereof) I have. A part of me wants to see how long it will grow, but a bigger part of me wants my thicker, swingier hair that I can wear down. I’m thinking about between BSL and waist. But… no changes immediately.

I’ve been out of vinegar for my last four washes and I’m wondering if the lack of a vinegar rinse is what’s causing me to dislike my hair lately. Hmmm... will have to pick some up on the way home...

Spring has exploded here in north Georgia. It turns into a fairyland with all the flowering trees, perennials and bushes. The dogwoods are almost ready to burst open.
