Life Update: I've been very busy again lately... Mike moved the rest of the furniture from my house to his house last week and we moved it all around over the weekend, and pondered... what do we keep and what do we get rid of? Since he moved three rooms of furniture (two bedrooms and one living room), the house was overflowing since it was already furnished with Mike's furniture. We have about three houses worth of furniture and I feel suffocated! My son is taking one king bed with mattress and an old oak hutch I no longer need - and hopefully other odds and ends as well. The rest of the overflow will go to the condo until we sell it, and to our basement - that is already spilling over with... STUFF! I can't wait to clear out all this clutter and decorate. I'm itching to paint the walls and do something to the kitchen to give it some warmth. I am not fond of white kitchens and for the time being that is what I have in the new house. I can't complain too much though, as I have much more room that I did - and there is a lot of potential there. We have plans, so I just have to bide my time.
I finally have my dresser so I can set up more of my jewelry and hair toys and not have everything crowded in the bathroom. When I start digging around in my hair toy and product boxes, it'll be fun rediscovering items I've forgotten I have.
My house closing is the 29th and that will be wonderful having that saga come to an end. On the same day I am closing on Mike's house. We decided it made more sense for it to be in my name since my credit is much better than his - allowing me to get a much better interest rate. He's had some ups and downs with late payments during the years he was building his business and that has wrecked havoc with his score. Now I'll own the "big house" and he'll have to do everything I say - lol...
After the closing of these houses, our lives will settle down a lot and we'll turn more towards
us. I will let everyone know when anything "official" happens. Then, hopefully we'll be going on a nice vacation somewhere. Still pondering where we want to go... thinking about Montana or Washington or Alaska... but haven't decided yet. Would
love to go to Italy and meet my friend, Rita, but I think we'll stay in the states this time around.
Hair Update: I'm still loving my trim and am wearing it down so much more - so that makes me happy. I've also starting washing it a little more often to have that nice just-washed feel when I wear my hair down. I wash it before work, usually plop it with Jessicurl's Rockin' Ringlets and then diffuse on warm until it is barely damp. It dries the rest of the way on my way in to work and then I pick it out upside down like I used to do when I had a perm. My hair is longer than in this picture, but this is what it looks like when it dries
before I pick it out:
I wasn't getting those waves much anymore before my trim and I missed them. I'm curious to see how my hair will grow out over the next few months. Will it thin out again or will it stay thicker on the ends? If it stays thick, I'll let it grow some more; if not, I'll be keeping it at this length.
That's it for now.
