I went shopping yesterday to pick out some flowers for my bouquet, hair wreath and Mike's boutonnière. I walked all over the store several times and found some that looked okay, but didn't really move me. I was disappointed. I wanted flowers, but autumn colors and all I could find were spring colors or lots of autumn leaves and grasses in very deep oranges, reds and gold. I needed something softer. I picked out everything and proceeded to go to the front of the store where Mike was going to meet me (and give me his input). And, lo and behold, there was a large grouping of flowers separate from the rest of them. They were perfect!

Here are some pictures of them just loose in a vase; I've not yet made the bouquet, wreath or boutonnière:
I bought large and small flowers and will use the smaller ones on the hair wreath. I don't think I want big, floppy flowers oh my head!
The only thing left to buy now is the fabric for Mike's shirt. I'll post a picture of the pattern if I can get a good one. The only good shot I have of it is the little boy's version (hmmm... how appropriate - lol...

)
Today I begin sewing my muslin dress - if I can get Mike out of bed. Poor thing has been sick for about 4 days now and I really don't want to disturb him. I just need the bed for a working space! It's 10:00 so I know he wants to get up as he
hates sleeping late. Think I'll go tiptoe around him to see what's going on...
