Well, let’s see what’s been going on! It’s been awhile since I’ve written here. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years have come and gone since I last wrote. The holidays were wonderful.
I’m still low maintenance with my hair, but am feeling the urge to learn new styles since I am now sitting at waist and want to grow longer. I’m thinking maybe some braid styles would be nice, if I’d only have the patience to learn them. I’m going to see Brent Jones this weekend to get the long hair “treatment” and a tiny trim. Maybe up to 32” so Liliana and I can be “twins” – lol. That’s only half an inch - and my hair really seems to grow better with trims. When it was this length last winter, the ends were much thinner I think. Cutting off almost 4” was a good thing, because the ends definitely look better and thicker now. So… a small trim this weekend…
I’ve joined Jazzercise again to get my regular workouts in each week. I do three classes of Jazzercise and two classes of weight training at the gym. I was not very good about keeping on a schedule over the holidays – and my diet went downhill too. It was probably a good reminder at the kind of foods that I seem to not tolerate very well… sugar and wheat. Everyone at work was bringing in candy and cookies and... well, it was rude to just turn my nose up at them, right? So, I partook and uck, don’t feel nearly as well when I am on a wheat-less and sugar-free diet. My energy level is so much better then. So, this week, I am breaking the sugar habit once more. It’s not hard for me to do; I just have to remember to bring my own snacks in to work since I get hungry between breakfast (at 5:30 a.m.) and lunch (at 11:30). I restocked my raw almond supply and cut up some carrots for today. I also like to keep dates here for something sweet. That, plus my rooibos teas and I’m happy!
I need to take a new length picture to compare it to before my trim last winter… will have to do that soon…

The animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted
with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not our breathren, they
are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendor and travail of the earth.
