Dry Your Eyes, Little Ones

This is a short fanfic I wrote in school. (Lucky thing I don't get much schoolwork!)

It's told through Basil's eyes, & it's about how much he cares for children, especially Olivia Flaversham.

It's one of those touching stories. Kinda like Cybra's "Drying Your Invisible Tears". (I read that one, by the way, & it is SO wonderful!)

Don't worry, little children. I'll protect you.

You come to me with crying eyes, hurt spirits, & broken hearts...

But mourn no more, for I shall heal your pain.

Little Olivia Flaversham, my sweet little goddaughter, I shall always love you.

Whenever you crawl to me with booboos & broken hearts, I'll take you into my gentle embrace, & soothe your pain.

Little children, listen to the words I say, for they are true as can be.

Little children, listen to me: I love you all & will do anything in my power to help you, to heal you, to make you smile...

I will watch over all you sweet children, just as a mother duck watches over her brood of little ducklings.

Dry your eyes, little angels. There is no need to cry when I am around you.

I will never leave your side. I'll be with you forever & ever.

Let me ease your aches, little children.

When I kiss you, or hug you, or touch you, or embrace you, or caress you, your pain fades away.

Little lost sheep, come to me. I shall tend to you.

Sweet little loves, my sweet little Olivia, fear not. The monsters in your nightmares shall be vanquished with my mighty sword of love.

Darling Olivia, darling children, my heart bleeds for you.

Come to me, little sweetlings. Your tears shall become my tears; your heartaches, my heartaches.

Little darling babes, let my love keep you warm, & my smiles brighten your day.

I love you, children. And I always will.

Dry your tears, little ones. Weep no more, for I shall make you smile.

This is my eternal promise to you. It shall never be broken.

I love you. Always & forever, little sweethearts. I love you.
