Executive Assistant (NS 2657)

REQUIREMENTS:
Five years or more experience supporting the senior executive management level with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Visio, excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation. Must
have a demonstrated ability to exercise initiatives and discretion, strong analytical, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet required deadlines. Experience in scheduling travel arrangements, workshops and meetings for the management team in Papua New Guinea and overseas when required. Compiling monthly, quarterly and other high level management reports and presentations, constant liaison as directed by the management with government, mining authorities, businesses, and nongovernmental organisations.

DUTIES:
The position of Executive Assistant is designed to provide prompt, efficient and confidential management support to the Executive General Manager, Papua New Guinea and Senior Barrick PNG Management Team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently
with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a diverse team of people. The ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
is crucial to this role. High level of written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.

Senior Environmental Biologist (NS 2683)

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of scientific principles of sampling programs, at least 5 years on postgraduate in tropical fresh water ecology, good communication and organisational skills, good leadership and computer literate with knowledge in Statistics packages (Systat, Minitab & Access), undergraduate qualifications in aquatic ecology or fisheries
biology field.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Coordinator Biology, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating field sampling and supervise laboratory processing of samples, manage the expenditure report, assist with rehabilitation of selected areas, monitoring of sewerage and water treatment plants, biology and other duties as required.

Mill Processing Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have experience in the operation of Pressure Oxidation, Oxygen
Plants, Leach and CIP systems, Sulphide Flotation and SAG Circuits, and experience in the paste plant operations, at least 8 years experience in the mining industry, good communication skills and computer literate, possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining, First Aid Certificate, good knowledge of safe work permit and isolation procedures and minimum of grade 10 or 12 education level is preferred.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Mill Foreman, the incumbent will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment with mill operations, ensure that operational key performance indicators are met on a shift basis, assist in the management of the operational activities of the team in the paste plant, provide leadership and training, identify trouble shooting operational equipment and other duties as required.

Autoclave Training Foreman (NS 2685)

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have experience in the operation of Pressure Oxidation, Oxygen
Plants & Leach/CIP systems and also, experiences in the Sulphide Flotation, SAG Circuits and Paste
plant operations is an advantage. At least 8 years experience in the mining industry, good
communication skills, good leadership and computer literate, possess Certificate IV in Training and
Assessment, Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining, First Aid Certificate, good knowledge of safe work permit and isolation procedures and minimum of grade 10 or 12 education level is preferable and an engineering degree will be desirable.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for the all aspects of Autoclave operation with training of mill operators, safe and efficient operation of all equipment, ensure that operational key performance indicators are met on a shift basis, assist in the management of the operational activities with Production Foreman, provide leadership and training of area supervisors & Process Technicians, identify trouble shooting operational equipment and other duties as required.
