Everytime we read the papers there are regular news about lack of drugs, medicines, equipments and supplies. We read about lack of health staff, and the long list of unresolved health problems. While we acknowledged that funding may be the underlying problems but its is more than funding. There is serious lack of administrative leadership and direction to be innovative to solve these problems.
As an NDOH staff, I am very disturbed that Dr Malau had paid himself K647,000 recently, Dr Paison Dakulala paid himself K76,462.80, Mr Mauludu paid himself K57,615.38, Dr Goa Tau paid himself K75,420.14, Mrs Elizabeth Gumbaketi paid herself K56,578.17, Mr Paul Dospie paid himself K56,578.17 and Mr Enoch Posenai paid himself K56,578.17. These were based on an national doctors proposed award that up to now has not been approved by DPM or Government.
This is a very serious matter and the government should sideline the these health officers immediately and investigate these serious matters.

Is this true? That is sick! I do believe teachers, nurses, doctors, police need a 100-200% increase in their salaries but not some people with ulterior motives!
