Akwesasne appeaal

I do not usually go to this sight because about 90% of the time the posters do not know what they are talking about nor do they have any idea about the rules which Junior "A" lacrosse opperates under. I will say one thing, and one thing only about this decision. I made a ruling on the facts that Six Nations and Akwesasne both used non-affiliated players in a playoff game which is a violation of clause R 8.01 [a] of the OLA constitution. Six Nations accepted my ruling, but Akwesasne appealed on another section of the constitution. My ruling, of awarding the 2 points to Burlington, by the words of R 8.01 [a] was overturned last night by a 3-man panel of OLA executives.

The Brampton/KW situtation of a few years ago is different than this one, in that, the OLA constitution did not allow for the removal of the 2 points for the use of non-affiliated players. The OLA constitution was changed, to it's currrent state, on direction by myself and Junior "A" lacrosse, at that year's AGM.

So, in conclusion, don't **** on a commissioner for doing his job in accordance of the rules that all lacrosse places in the OLA constitution. Know what the hell you are talking about before you make unknowledgable postings. But in hindsight, I guess it is easy to make statements while hiding behind the anonymity of a fictitious name.
