No, it was mandated that Akwesasne had to put a turf floor in before they started play in the Junior A league. The league said they would also mandate all other teams to have it in in 3 years, I believe. I am not 100 percent but I do believe this is the way it was stated.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
