Both teams had the powerplay in overtime so it was not like it was a crazy call. Guelph had the chance to bury welland in the 2nd period when they were down 2 men for 7 or so minutes then down 1 man for another length of time but only managed to get 2 goals out of it, some big saves and big defensive plays kept welland in it in the 2nd.
