George "Punch" Imlach, the coach and general manager of those great Leaf teams in the 60's (yes the Leafs actually won 4 Stanley Cups in the 60's) played in the Mann Cup semi-finals for Quebec City in 1946 against St.Kitts. Also in 1942 the Lachine-Ville St.Pierre team played against the New Westminster Salmonbellies in another Mann Cup semi-finals. Two of the players on that team were the great referee and football player "Red" Storey and Frank Eddols, who played in the NHL for Montreal and was the player the Leafs traded away for to get the great Teeder Kennedy. Eddols played junior hockey for the Oshawa Generals and played senior B for the Oshawa Lacrosse team for a couple of years.
