Kent "Arthur" Duncan
DUNCAN, (Arthur) Kent - With great sadness, we announce his sudden death at home on December 3, 2011. Kent was born in Toronto on February 18, 1949. He graduated from Phys. Ed., University of Toronto in 1972 and was a member of Sigma Chi. He taught for 31 years at Northern Secondary School, retiring in 2005. Loving father to Todd and Elana. Deeply missed by sister Heather Backman and nephew Brett Backman (Katie Morgan). Beloved companion to Laura Shin. Predeceased by his parents, Art and Shirley Duncan and his brother-in-law Al Backman. Deeply missed by his many friends at the TDSB, TSSAA, Coxwell Sports, East York and Leaside Baseball and Victoria Village Hockey. Visitation at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., on Tuesday, December 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7th. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kent's memory may be made to Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Program. A great man who'll be missed every day. He was the best.
