In front of an estimated 1,400 fans, the Six Nations Rebels defeated the Wallaceburg Red Devils 5-4 to take the western junior B final 3 games to 2. The atmosphere was tremendous, the crowd was loud and enthusiastic from start to finish, making for one of the best lacrosse atmospheres you'll ever find. I always say a sports event isn't great unless my head is ringing and I don't have much voice left, this one fit the bill - a great game made even better by a great crowd.
Wallaceburg goalie Brennor Jacobs, who played with the Rebels last year, was incredible throughout the series. The Rebels fired 60 shots his way, only five went in - a save percentage that's good for hockey but great for lacrosse.
Every shift was intense, every loose ball contested, this was lacrosse at its best.
Next up - the Rebels take on Akwesasne for the league final!
